I seriously have listened to this song for an entire week! It’s so short but I replay it over and over and over and over..again. I was hearing about gaga before her invasion through ONTD on livejournal but I just blew her off. then I heard “Just Dance” and I was a bit hooked. Then Poker face and love game, paparazzi and then Bad Romance. Bad Romance has officially made me a gaga fan.

I love her lyrics, her sound, her fashion, her videos, and her attitude. She’s so brazen. I remember when Britney spears came out people were saying that she was the new Madonna. To me, Britney seemed like a souless barbie doll. And Christina Aguilera was just plain boring. Her vocals were better than Britney’s but she never had control over them. It often sounded like she was doing vocal gymnastics for no reason. Her songs often sounded overcooked and her videos were boring and she was never a fashion icon.

But Gaga man, is brilliant! I love weird lyrics in songs. She fits that bill. I have never liked a singers style as much as I love hers. I just can’t get enough of her style. I’m always excited to see what she’s going to wear next. Madonna wishes she was doing was Gaga is doing. I’ve never been a Madonna fan. But even I can admit she was a trailblazer in the past. However, she’s been rather boring in the past decade. Personally, I think it’s time she retire.

What will Gaga do next?

I have to admit this dirty ugly secret of mine..I have never listened to Miles Davis. Oh sure, I can safely bet that some note or two have found their way into my brain but my brain never registered it and left it uncategorized for a decade or two.

But I’ve never really listened to any of his work until now. I can comfort myself in the fact that I’ve had a serious relationship with Billie Holiday for a decade now and I’ve flirted with Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn. But me and Miles Davis simply passed each other on the street in dark corners with our hats and heads pulled down.

Now thanks to a series of AWESOME AMAZING Dolce and Gabbana perfume and cologne ads, I have finally looked up and opened my ears to Miles Davis.

I’ve already listened to this song four times already and I want to listen to it a hundred times more. I’m always sad when it ends; it reminds me of my own ill-fated love affairs.
