Hottest Male Actors 50 or older aka future old men I wouldn’t mind spoon feeding one day

January 31st, 2010 by Febe received 13 Comments »

I was watching USA’s Burn Notice last week and enjoying the hotness of Bruce Campbell and Jeffery Donovan, when I started thinking of other hot older men.  Sure, I enjoy the ripeness of the young actors, aka Gael Garcia Bernal, Orlando Bloom, etc but sometimes you are in the mood for a fine wine.  It’s very arousing to look at a man’s face that seen some rough times, had  a few affairs or just got some creases in his face.  I decided who was to be on this list on a few factors.  First, I had to enjoy their movies or television choices.  Although, I do not have to like their most recent work.  I also must think they have aged nicely over their years, no reverse savages here.  I also must find the characters they have portrayed to be really fun, interesting, sexy, or heartbreaking. Lastly, they have to be 50 or older.

So without further ado, my sexy grandpa list!

10.
Jerry Seinfeld- born April 29, 1954

I love Jerry Seinfeld.  My favorite trait in a man is a sense of humor.  In “Seinfeld” he had some of the best lines.  He was often sarcastic and the voice of reason.  I loved when he’d shout in his tweedy voice.  I just about died from laughter when he turned into Kramer when he lived in his apartment.  I basically grew up with his show.  I will forever view the world through Seinfeld colored glasses.  You can be sure I’ll be watching his new show.

    9.

Billy Bob Thornton – born August 4, 1955

I really wasn’t aware of Billy Bob until Bad Santa.  Lately, he seems to have been typecast playing the slimy, rude, dick characters but I can’t help but love them.  I worked in retail for 7 years and still loathe Christmas.  His Bad Santa character was what I wish I could be like during the holidays.  Bad Santa is hands down my favorite Christmas movie and my fav character.  Also, his performance in Monster was amazing.  His scene with Heath Ledger was so shocking and I felt it in my gut.  I read that Billy Bob will no longer accept roles like his bad santa character.  I’m really excited to see where he does next, just make sure it doesn’t involve metal silverware or antique furniture.

8. I had to add two video’s for this next one!

Daniel Day-Lewis – born April 29, 1957

He is an Oscar winning actor.  He becomes the character completely and there is no trace of himself while he is that character.  No Tom Cruise acting here!  My favorite movie role of his Hawkeye.  My mother used to say that movie made women pregnant.  haha.  His ruggedness, his long flowing hair, his fighting skills, his sensitivity,  and his all around general wilderness sexiness was all too much to handle.  I haven’t yet seen nine but his last movie was very strange.  I have yet to decide if I hated or loved “There will be blood.”

    7.

    Alec Baldwin – born April 3, 1958

I love Alec Baldwin for doing the narration in “The Royal Tenenbaums.”  His gruffy voice feels like a grizzly beard scratching my face in winter.   Mmm how wonderful.  His SNL appearances are LEGENDARY, schweaty balls anyone?  On top of all this, he is at the top of his game in 30 Rock.  I love watching him every week as Jack, and his dialog is so crazy quotable.   May he continue on 30 Rock as long as humanly possible.

6.

Liam Neeson – born June 7, 1952

The lovely Liam is a spectacular actor.  I adored him in “Love, Actually” and although it became heartbreakingly ironic after the death of his wife, it still is a beautiful holiday movie.  My favorite role of his was his portrayal of Kinsey.  It was strange, informative, and shocking.  I love the sound of his voice and I am excited as hell to see him in the new “Clash of the Titans!”  His face has a delicateness to it and his eyes look perpetually sad.  He just makes me want to snuggle by a fire with him in a small cottage.

    5. This was a tough one.  I was considering this actor for my 4th spot but..he was defeated because of his squinty glare.  I liked my no. 4th face just a tad more.
    Alan Rickman – born February 2, 1946

Alan Rickman is a bad boy!  When he stares at the screen, it’s like he’s undressing you with his eyes, or planning your dreadful demise.  It’s a toss up really.  I first became aware of him in Robin Hood.  I loved him!  He made Kevin Costner’s acting look cheap and silly.  Rickman is always so sleek and intense.  His Snape cannot be beat.  He has had some wild hair but it works for him.  I’ve had dreams where he says the most nasty sexual things to me and I beg for more haha.   If I ever met him in person, I think I’d melt into a puddle and maybe he’d lick it up hahah.   I can’t wait to see him in a movie again.

Aiden Quinn – born March 8, 1959

I love Aiden Quinn.  I loved his failed tv show, “Book of Daniel!”  Unfortunately people had sticks up their asses, and an uproar was caused because it showed that religious men are really humans with real problems, so it was cancelled.  I love the look of Aiden’s face and it’s only improved with age.  His face has this tough guy softness to it.  I loved him in “Legends of the fall” and of course “Benny and Joon!”  I haven’t seen him in anything for a while but I always enjoy it when I do.  I also love it when his character gets pissed off.  He bites his lip and then goes into an angry tirade.  He always ends up looking wounded instead of really pissed off.  I really love that.  You know he just had the best intentions.

    Harrison Ford – born July 13, 1942

There are so many things a woman can say about Harrison Ford.  His name even sounds sexy and manly, like he could rewire your kitchen and make you a table.  (He really is a carpenter.)  I mean the man is known for not one, BUT TWO iconic characters, and if you need me to name them, then you are saaaaad.  Lately he has been doing, “GIVE ME BACK MY WIFE/FAMILY” movies and I don’t even want to talk about his extreme lifetime movie, but I can look past/forgive him for those.  I just want to watch him sweat and build things.  Afterwards he’d grill me some burgers and we’d watch “Star Wars” together and I’d tell him I loved him and he’d reply, “I Know.”  Fade to black.

2.

Colin Firth – born September 9, 1960

Ok so he’s not TECHNICALLY 50 just yet but he will be this year so that’s why he’s on this list.  He is 2nd favorite kind of man; the one busting with emotions but wraps it up deep inside with a almost painful dignity.  He makes me want to rip his clothes off and find that hidden soft spot that will unveil all his innermost secrets.  I love watching him in movies and his acting is brilliant!  I am so excited to see his latest film, “A Single Man.”  I loved him in “Love, Actually” and of course the Bridget Jones movies.  He has the sexiest angst and I just know he’d be the best cook.  He’d read me poetry after he made me a delicious Italian meal.

Now…the sexist man 50 years or older is…

    1.
    Bruce Campbell – born July 22, 1958

I have loved him since his Brisco County Jr. days!!  I would later discover his Evil dead series much later on.  His chin is divine (I have a thing for clefts) and his scar is like a a cherry on a double dip sundae.  I loved him on Hercules and Jack of all trades.  I love him now on Burn Notice.  I even watched, “My name is Bruce.”  I’ve seen parts of his other cheesy barely released movies.  I’ve also read his first book.  His attitude is manly and cocky and fried in awesomeness.  He’s funny, sarcastic, and experienced.  I love that he isn’t “hollywood.”  I’d love to drink a beer with him and then he’d demand sugar from me.  He only gets better with age.  His hair is thick and full of swagger.  I’ve half joked with my husband that we should name our first born son, Ash.  He’s half agreed haha.  Bruce has even impersonated Elvis in Bubba Ho-tep and it’s the best Elvis I have ever seen.  If you haven’t seen it, do.

Who are your favorites?
